NOTD: Nerd Lacquer Don't Blink

Hi guys,

Hope you all had a lovely weekend! I took my son to his friend's first birthday party on Saturday which he absolutely loved! I can't believe I'm going to have to start thinking about his birthday soon for a party in October, time just flies by...

I've been holding off on posting this polish for ages. When I got it, I tried to swatch it a few times but it went on so thick and I ended up smudging it every time during application. That made me lose my patience and avoid it for ages! Then Amanda shut her Etsy store and I thought it would be unfair to post it, because people couldn't go out and buy it.

The polish I'm talking about (as it says in the post title) is Don't Blink from Nerd Lacquer. This is a milky grey base with small dark grey hex glitter and medium and large light greyish-white hex glitter. I love this combination because I love grey nail polish, I think it looks really classy and I wear it a lot more than nude if I'm going for neutrals. I love glitter as well obviously and I think the grey glitter in the grey base looks really understated.

The photos below show two coats on most nails, some have three... This goes on really thick and sometimes the second coat went on super thick, then I had to scrape some off, so a third coat was needed to even out bald spots.

I hope you're not too angry at me for posting this! I promise I'm not rubbing my Nerds in your faces, but this and Event Horizon have been in my untrieds collection for months. I decided last night to put this on for a day and thought it would be a shame to waste it!

Nerd Lacquer Pinin' for the Fjords

Hi guys!

Hope you've enjoyed your bank holiday Monday! It's been a typical bank holiday today, freezing cold and rainy... Nevertheless I was still out shopping. I got a few nice bits, some accessories for my outfit for a 20s themed party I'm going to this weekend and of course a couple of nail polishes! The Models Own HedKandi collection is out now so I picked up two colours from that. I wanted one more but it was sold out in the Boots store I went to.

Anyway, the polish I have to show you today is the second installment from my Nerd Lacquer order, Pinin' for the Fjords. This polish is about half way between grey and lavender and has purple (looks pinky in some lights), blue, grey and silver glitter. There is microglitter, small hex glitter and large hex glitter and it seems to change colour depending on the light and the base is very squishy and jelly-like which I LOVE!

The application of this polish was amazing, I'm hoping all Nerd Lacquers apply like Resolutionary and Pinin' for the Fjords! I used two easy coats. You can see a bit of visible nail line in my photos but it really wasn't obvious in real life.

The photos below show two coats of Pinin' for the Fjords with a coat of Seche Vite to smooth it out.

Nerd Lacquer Resolutionary

Good afternoon everyone!

I'm so excited for my post today! I had wanted Nerd Lacquer polishes for ages and it seemed like forever until the Etsy store re-opened for orders again. I chose four polishes: Resolutionary, Don't Blink, Event Horizon and Pinin' for the Fjords. I actually wanted a few more but I stopped at four, I'll get the others when the store opens again!

The polish I've chosen for today is Resolutionary, a bright pink polish with lots of glitter! There is gold and pink, small and medium, round and hex glitter and larger pieces of purple hex glitter. The formula on this was amazing, it went on easily and gave me full opacity in two easy coats.

My only problem with this nail polish is that my camera wouldn't focus on it properly! These pictures don't show the true beauty of this polish, but here it is!

Yes, that's right, more nail mail!

Hi again!

Seems like I'm posting nail mail every day! I had ordered so many things around the same time and they all started arriving a couple of days ago! This package from Nerd Lacquer is my last online order, now I'm just waiting for a few swap packages then I'm all done for the moment on nail mail!

The polishes I chose were Resolutionary, Don't Blink, Event Horizon and Pinin' for the Fjords. The black bobbly thing on Pinin' for the Fjords is a ring I got in my package!

I've swatched two of these already, I couldn't help myself, so they'll be coming up in the next few days!
